The trustees bring a wealth of local knowledge as they are involved with a wide range of Farnham organisations and charities, as well as national and international ones. They also live or work in the town.
Andrew is currently Chairman and has been a trustee for the Institute since 1999. He enjoys playing an active part in many aspects of the Farnham business community and has run a successful estate agents in the town for many years.
Andrew served as President of Farnham Lions Club 2017/18 and he still proactively supports many local charities. He enjoys country walks and takes great pleasure in running after his two grandchildren.
Margaret Daniels became a Trustee in 1994. Meg is from an old Farnham family and involved with local charities, a trustee of Farnham ASSIST and a member of the Christian community.
Meg enjoys music, theatre an allotment and the company of a large family.
Emily has lived in the area since she was a child and now runs an accountancy practice in Farnham.
In her spare time she enjoys the outdoors with her family and is a keen cyclist and skier.
Dr Chris Tibbott worked as a Farnham Town GP for 30 years. He is also a trustee of Wey Valley Abbeyfield Society. His other interests are: golf, birdwatching, bridge, walking, travel, gardening and reading.
He is married with one son who is also a doctor. Chris became Trustee in 2016.
Jerome managed a successful law firm and practised as a Property lawyer in Guildford and Farnham for 35 years.
Married with three children,his post retirement pursuits include golf, walking, cycling, bridge and voluntary work including for the Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice in Farnham - and having fun with grandchildren
I have lived in Farnham for over 45 years and I am married with two grown up children. I took early retirement from the BBC in 2001 having worked there for 38 years, where I arranged TV programmes in the UK and around the world.
Whilst in Farnham, I have been involved with local organisations extensively - a member of many charity and community groups - the Hedgehogs, Bourne Show committee, Carnival Committee, Farnham Visitors Forum, Farnham Institute Charity and recently I was, over a period of twelve years, Director, Chairman and then President of Farnham Maltings.
My leisure activities (when time allows!) include tennis, travelling, sailing and narrow boating.
Barbara has lived and worked in Farnham since 1978 and became a Trustee in 2003. She spent many years working in the hospitality industry organising events and conferences, more recently working for a local training organisation.
Barbara was a secondary school governor for thirteen years, five of which as Chair. She is also associated with Farnham District Scouts and was previously Trustee and Chair of Sampson's Almshouses.
Barbara enjoys singing, reading and gardening.
Max was born in 1946 in Hampshire.
He is an architect and owner of a large architectural and planning company in Hartley Wintney.
He lives in Farnham and bought his first house there in 1973.
He is a member of the Royal Institute of British Architects and Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
